Jeff Koons at Pompidou Center - Which hotel do you want to stay?
If you're after a cultural break in Paris, you can't really do better for modern art than the Centre Georges Pompidou. Opened in 1977, this imaginative yet functional building (all of the pipework criss-crosses on the outside of the colossal glass structure) mirrors the boundary-pushing artwork to be found within. If you're heading over to the Centre Pompidou soon, we strongly recommend that you check out the Jeff Koons retrospective. An homage to the artist's 35-year career, this collection of all things shiny and kitsch is a must-see when in Paris.
1er Etage Boutique Hotel
Once you've seen the show, head over to the on-site restaurant- offering French fusion food and delightful cocktails; it's on the top of the building and offers an unrivalled Paris panorama. The Georges Restaurant is brought to the Centre Pompidou by the Costes family, and it's the hip place to see and be seen any night of the week, before heading back to your boutique hotel in the Marais.
